“Our family started with Elizabethtown Christian Academy (ECA) in January 2010 in the Daycare and Preschool programs just after we made a military move from Alexandria, VA to Elizabethtown, KY. Shortly before we moved, we contacted the Director of the Daycare at ECA, looking for open spots for our three children, two year old twins and our four year old. There was an open spot for our oldest but no open spots for our twins. Shortly after our fist contact from Virginia, we were called back specifically to tell us she was opening another two year old class that would create slots for our children. Since then, ECA has been so accommodating to our family’s needs. Our two year olds completed two and a half years of Pre K and our four year completed Pre K, Kindergarten and first grade sadly before we had to make a military move once again.
We have never experienced more caring and loving staff than the day care and school aged teachers and faculty at ECA. Although our kids love their current schools in MD, they still talk about and greatly miss their Ms. Lori, Ms. Kim, Ms. Amanda, Mr. Josh, Ms. Becky, Ms. Ruthie, Ms. Esther, Ms. Meghan, Mr. Curtis, Ms. Tracey, Ms. Kisselbaugh and Ms. Thomas (and the names go on and on, you get the message). The curriculum and activities at ECA are awesome and our oldest is light years ahead in grammar, reading, and penmanship than other kids at her current school. ECA’s focus on Christian values really made an impact on our children who loved learning, talking and sharing their knowledge about God to us. It is so important to us as a Christian family that our children can learn and talk about God in their daily educational setting. We would highly recommend ECA to anyone looking for a safe, loving and inspirational learning environment. ECA we miss you!” - Megan Dake
“We have had children enrolled at ECA for the last 8 years and our priority has been to ensure our two girls receive a Christian based education. Knowing that ECA scores in the top 5% nationally in standardized tests brings us confidence that we didn’t sacrifice a quality education in the process.” - Marc Sanborn
“The Bible speaks that a three stranded cord is not easily broken. When you have a home, school and church working together, it just makes a good strong cord for those kids to have.” - Scott Kerr
“ECA encourages parents to attend chapel with their children and to be involved with the chapel experience. I always get emotional when I talk about chapel because I can’t seem to get through a chapel without getting teary-eyed. I know what a blessing it is.Not only for my son but for all of the children that go there. There is no greater blessing for a parent to walk into a chapel in a school environment where there child attends chapel and you see your child and other children with their eyes and their hands lifted worshiping God. It’s an awesome gift. When I see them worshiping and sing, it makes my heart soar. God, this is what it’s all about.” - Former ECA Parent
ECA offers an after school program that is open to the community. The After School Program is called KidsZone and is available between the hours of 2:00 pm–6:00 pm.
